After a 6 hour drive, I’m finally at my parents place in Cumbria for a week away from the city. My ears might be ringing from the journey (kinda wish I had a 6th gear sometimes) but man those Recaros are beautifully comfortable .
Even managed to get a foldaway bed in the back of the Teg! Who said a sports car can’t be practical?
Now, to find some misty mountain roads to carve ...

I know that feeling of wanting 6th. The Mini sits at 3,500+ rpm at 75. I really want 6th but then I remember that the Mini barely accelerates in 5th to begin with.

thats about what my Allroad will be doing but in 6th. I guess I need a 7th

Why is it geared so low? The Mini has short gears because it only has 110ft-lbs of torque.

Drive Hartside Pass to Northumberland! I’ll put you up and buy a few beers, it’s only two hours :)

Six hour drive! What kept you? Lol.
Welcome to beautiful Cumbria.
If your in the area of Windermere, check out Wrynose Pass and Hardknott. Lovely steep accents and decents and narrow coutry roads through the valley. Also areas around Buttermere and any road around one of the weres, meres and lake are great as the road elevates slightly and then drops away.
I can’t reply after this as it still won’t let me reply on my mobile. Doh. and I’m off to work. :(

Now imagine not even being able to use 5th. My life in the Niva, 4500 rpm at 60mph. Coupled with the only noise control being a mostly burnt-out glasspack hanging under the rear bumper, extended highway drives require earplugs.
Hopefully getting the engine back in this week after a summer of repairs (new brakes, new transmission, and other small projects) sorts that out.

Not impressed until you can fit an unfolded foldaway bed in the back :P
Kidding...nice Teg, JDM import or UK-spec?
Almost all highways here are 100 or 110kph in Canada. My Accent sits around 3k RPGs at 60mph.

I dunno. Getting o. The highway makes you feel like your in the Fast&Furious with the constant shiftimg. Maybe it’s because it has peak torque real low in the range? Maybe because it’s heavy?

I came up from Portsmouth, other end of the country! Lovely to be here though, last time I came I drove Honnister Pass; beautiful, though perhaps not ideal for the Integra. I plan on doing as much driving as possible, get some nice photos of the car while I’m at it.

Oof, that’s definitely a harsher time. Sounds like it’s getting a good refresh though!

Haha, deal! If I end up that way on my travels, I’ll give you a shout :)

Challenge accepted! It’s like a lil pickup bed back there with the seats down.
Thanks, it’s a JDM import :) Rather proud of it.
Sounds almost as bad as mine, 4K @ 70mph through an awful ricey exhaust (soon to be changed)

Well, we’ll call it a refresh by I don’t know if I’d call it good. It’s been a bit of a bare minimum sort of summer. Not doing anything to the exhaust though. Loud cars hit less moose. LOL.

Me Accent be 100% stock, so no droney exhaust for me! :)

There really is something to be said for a nice, stock ride!
